Sweden’s Vittra Telefonplan says goodbye to the “conventional classroom” and focuses on creative design. This means in place of desks, there are “sitting islands,” and students can collaborate with peers in “the village”—a tiny house for group work.
The term “riding shotgun” was applied originally to the movie depiction of stagecoaches and wagons in the Wild West, in danger of being robbed or attacked. An employee or passenger would sit beside the driver, carrying a shotgun or rifle, to provide an armed response in case of threat to the cargo or passengers.

Every single day, I hear so many people-myself included- complaining about school and homework and assignments and tests and whatnot.
This picture makes me feel so lucky.
