Paper art-“Cakes and other desserts”. Inspired by the MN state fair, Wayne Thiebaud and Andreas Gursky. Thanks to my dear friend Melissa for documentation (cause I tried myself and totally failed).
DIY Mini Food. Cool post from The Unconfidential Cook here on “Emma’s Tiny Treats”. Donuts are cheerios dipped in various things and the mini cakes are oreos with frosting and decoration. More mini food creations at the link above!
I LOVE TINY THINGS!
Quilted mini cakes! Beautifully creative combination of fondant and piping makes for a cake too pretty to eat. Made by Wendy Kromer of City Bake Shop, courtesy of Martha Stewart Weddings.

This is a bridge style wedding cake. It’s a couple different cakes on different tiers that are all connected by well … bridges! I’m watching Cake Boss, and I learned that they’re kind of out-dated as most couples now prefer the five tier wedding cake. It reminded me of my childhood because I grew up in Greektown and all the bakeries I would past had bridge style wedding cakes in their displays. Old school cakes have a place in my heart.
I was looking at wedding cakes and came across my future wedding cake.
